The entire day felt like a living, breathing fairy-tale. From the moment Gwynne slipped into her stunning wedding dress and tiara the magic started. Romance loomed throughout the majestic walls of Laurel Hall. That stunning mansion was the perfect setting for Gwynne and Ryan’s wedding day.
The two of them met back in college and bonded over their shared love of traveling, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and Comic Con. Both of them have a lot of personality, and they’re just so fun to watch together. Together they are quirky, adventurous, and (most importantly) crazy in love! They have a whimsical, fun energy in their relationship. I knew this from the moment we met, exploring Fort Benjamin Harrison during their woodland engagement session.
They chose to dive fully into their love of fantasy and fairy-tales for their wedding theme. Laurel Hall, in Indianapolis, suited the theme to tee. The mansion naturally has the mystical, elegant, and castle aesthetic naturally fit the bill. They made sure they included all their favorite stories! There were nods to Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, the Little Mermaid, and more throughout their décor. Each table at their reception represented a specific story they loved.
As if the day wasn’t completely unique already, they also had a live casino set up for their reception as well as a photo booth! Guests danced the night away in between casino games. It was so fun!
Another thing I really loved was the connection I felt with them! I instantly loved their personalities and hearing about their sweet relationship. When they mentioned loving my hauntingly beautiful and cinematic imagery, I just knew they were an ideal couple. They were up for any suggestions on their wedding day and took the time to truly let me capture their love story. It’s little things like this that make me love my job more and more!
Ultimately, they made their wedding day so unique. Not one part of the day was left without some personal touch. It was magical and perfectly represented their personalities. It will forever be a favorite of mine because it was truly and beautifully unique in every way! Plus, I am now officially obsessed with Laurel Hall! Can you blame me? The grounds themselves are almost as magical as Gwynne and Ryan’s wedding.
